M. Richard Stallman's book on emacs.
Review by Phil Stripling
Stallman is the creator of emacs, and this book covers version 20 of emacs, the current version. emacs is a text editor originally written for UNIX, but ported to almost all platforms. With html-helper-mode by Nelson Minar, emacs is a great way to create Web pages. I use the Macintosh port at home and the UNIX flavor online. With RMAIL and GNUS, it is a pleasure to read email and Usenet news, all in the familiar surroundings of a great text editor.
NOTE: Earlier editions cover earlier versions of emacs. Be sure you buy the current 13th edition.
