This helpful guide contains not only the usual wealth of information on Japan and its cities, but a Japanese character guide. Hotel and restaurant names are given in the guide in English, and an appendix near the end of the book shows those names in Japanese characters. This is exremely useful, as Japanese signs rarely give roman transliterations of the business names.
